Based in Amsterdam, Ori Ron is quickly establishing himself as a multifaceted voice in the contemporary classical scene. A prizewinner at the 2024 Cello Biennale Amsterdam, Ori was awarded Third Prize and the special award for the best performance of Matthias Bartolomey’s commissioned work.

The 2026-2027 season highlights Ron’s work as both a performer and creator, featuring the premieres of two of his own compositions: a new cello concerto to be premiered at the Cello Biennale 2026, and a new work for the Martin String Quartet, of which he is a member. The latter will be performed as part of the prestigious Dutch Classical Talent tour.

As a soloist, Ori has performed with ensembles including the Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra, the Israel Chamber Orchestra, and the Tel Aviv Soloists. His orchestral experience includes academy programs with both The Israel Philharmonic and The Netherlands Philharmonic.

Ori completed a Bachelor’s degree at the Buchmann-Mehta School of Music, where he studied with Prof. Hillel Zori, and his Master’s at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam, in the class of Pieter Wispelwey. He has participated in numerous programs of the Jerusalem Music Center, including chamber music and orchestral activities, and has taken part in residencies of the Perlman Music Program, Keshet Eilon Mastercourse, and Zeist Muziekdagen.
